Not the ideal fit but he'd be too good to pass up if they had the opportunity. You build the system around him if you have to.
Definite buy if you have the assets. Westbrook is a hard one because he's still on his rookie deal and OKC don't have any huge overpaid players to throw into the deal (Unless you count Perkins who makes $8 million a year). Jazz would be in an ideal position though as they have guys like Favors, Kanter, Burks, Hayward who are all talented and make cheap money as well as their own likely lottery pick as well as GS 1st rounder.

Trade exception too which can't be packaged with players but with picks I believe. Also have the draft rights to the big guy in Europe who is expendable now too. Could sign Westbrook to an extension first than make a deal.
Jefferson talking about Derrick Favors: When he walked back there and seen my name not on the board he asked me am I OK? And I was like, 'No, I'm not going to be able to go.' And I said, 'You've just got to be able to hold it down for me.' And he stared in my eyes and said, 'I'm going to hold it down for you.' And that's exactly what he did and it made me proud. I was happy about it.
You going to be happy when you are sent packing because he doesn't give you your job back? I know I will be!
Harris was even taken out — getting replaced by backup point Earl Watson — four minutes into the game. But the starting point guard came out with a vengeance in the second quarter.
Benched him and only played him 26 minutes. Way to light a fire under his ass Ty! Looks like Earl did a better job at the one. Harris got his points but 3 assists and 4 TO's?
Corbin on starting Favors at center in the future: We'll look at a lot of different things. Al is a huge part of what we're going to have to do here. He's a guy that we can go to on the block and get something good a lot of times. … Al is a guy we can get into in the post deep and you pretty much know what you're going to get there. And Derrick is learning.
You know you are going to get the offense coming to a standstill. Come on! It's obvious Al has to go. Millsap and Favors is the line-up til Kanter is ready to change it.
the 20-year-old will return to the bench when Jefferson is ready to go again.
"I'm a basketball player and I do whatever Coach wants me to do," he said. "If he wants me to come of the bench, I'll come off the bench. If he wants me to start, I'll start."
Corbin said he wanted to give the Jazz starting lineup a bit more versatility with Millsap's outside shooting abilities. He avoided this Friday, but Favors was taken out of Utah's road games because of early foul problems, and he never got into a flow after that.
"I think he gets hesitant after he gets the early fouls," Corbin said. "And it throws his whole rhythm off."
When Favors returns to the bench, Corbin believes the second-year player will learn from observing from his front-row seat. The more experienced Millsap has been in and learned from that situation most of his six-year career.
"He will still play his minutes. … He gets a chance to watch a little bit coming off the bench and relax a little bit, I hope, and be ready to come in the game," Corbin said. "Paul is used to starting so he'll know how to handle the anxiety and just go out and play and play aggressively, and not worry about not fouling."
Favors said he was "all right" with Corbin rational for moving him to a reserve role.
"When you're on the bench you kind of get a feeling for the game," he said at Friday morning's shootaround. "When you start, you've got to come out of the gates ready to go."
As for Millsap, Corbin added: "Paul, I thought, had a great training camp. He deserved to start."
Yes Paul deserves to start and he makes more sense next to Favors than Jefferson. Got to trade Jefferson ASAP!
Gordon Hayward developing: He's a guy, we can put the ball in his hands. He came across at the end there and made a big, big shot at the free-throw line off the pick-and-roll. He can get in the paint and make some plays. But he again have to learn that when it's crunch time you've got to be strong — you almost have to be a little nasty; they're going to put bodies on you, they're going to put hands on you. He's capable of doing it.
I think they're going to have to put the ball in other people's hands to facilitate the offense. Harris isn't up to that role.
Hopefully Corbin starts Hayward and Howard at the 2 and 3 next game. Hayward running the point when Harris is in makes sense. Harris just doesn't seem comfortable, or capable in that role at all.
Having Jefferson as the sixth man might make sense too. He still needs to play 30+ minutes, but they just give up to many rebounds with both Millsap and Jefferson on the floor.
Still no clue why Miles is getting any minutes though.
"We had pretty good control of the game and then the physicality of the game changed. I thought they started knocking us around; some loose balls and stuff. I thought that was the difference, just their physicality and their size."
Those are the words of Doug Collins, the Sixers head coach.
Has anyone talked about the Jazz like that since John and Karl left?

From what I've seen of Burks he might be able to help too. Maybe AK when he's finished in Russia on the cheap? CJ can handle it a bit. Raja could at one time.

Steve Luhm: Derrick Favors and Gordon combine on pick-and-pop for biggest basket in Jazz's 102-99 win. Think Jazz fans will see that more in the future?
Hayward to Favors! Not sure it has the same ring to it as Stockton to Malone.
