Default Time to fix things

This team is too flawed to get anything higher than a 7th seed in the East.

Step 1: Fire Mike D'Antoni. Hes quit on this team.

Step 2: Hire Don Nelson. If anybody remembers his first stint in New York when we started off 18-6, you'll know how he needs to be here. Push the ball all game and outscore your opponent. We need to Run, Run, Run. Any semblance of a half-court offense leaves us doomed.

Roster moves:
- Cut Jeremy Lin, why is he here?
- Cut Mike Bibby, its time for him to retire
- Cut Steve Novak, corner 3's mean nothing to anyone but D'Antoni
- Send Josh Harrellson to the D-League, NBA is too much for him
- Send Jerome Jordan to the D-League, hes still as soft as he was in SL

- Sign Leon Powe, hustle big man who will at least play defense
- Sign Al Thornton, good scorer for our 2nd unit to play at SF/PF
- Sign Julian Wright, good defender for our 2nd unit to play at SF/PF
- Sign Walker Russell from the D-League, hes averaging 10 APG
- Sign Joel Pryzbilla, we need a fearless backup C

In March, sign Kenyon Martin.

**** it.

I'd rather watch exciting 120-118 games under Don Nelson for a 66 game season than this mess right now.

We can worry about our new GM & new Head Coach next offseason. Hopefully we'll figure out the direction of this team by then.

& Im done.

our biggest problem is that we dont have a real pg running the offense and 90% of the offense is just 1 on 1 iso's.
coach has no clue whats going on cus he usually has a good pg running his offense, and now that there is no pg, he think things will magically come together with douglas.
lakers never had a decent pg running their offense and right now we dont, and its time to pick up the phone and give phil a call

Our #1 problem is Mike D'Antoni. You can't have a coach quit on a team that's undisciplined to begin with. Problem 1b is the point guard situation. Our lack of a competent pg affects this team alot. Amare and Chandler, throughout their careers, have been best when they have pg's who can dish the rock. Toney Douglas is inept. He can't run a pick and roll or fast break... That's where two of our best three players thrive the most.

My course of action would be
#1 Fire D'Antoni- I can't tolerate quitters
#2 Trade Toney Douglas- even if it's a package for a project like Hasheem Thabeet. I can't tolerate this guy. He managed to get worse this year at playing pg. Plus, for all the "spark off the bench talk" for the second str8 game, he got outplayed by backups. 5 and 5 in 33 minutes of play aint gon' cut it.
#3 Buy out, Cut,trade Bibby and Jeffries- dead weight that not only has no potential but isn't even healthy.
#4Cut Jeremy Lin- I had hope for him but it went out the window when he took a layup and it didn't even draw iron
#5 (may include aspects of 2 and 3) Contact one of these pg heavy teams and get a competent guard in here. Clippers, Phx, Houston, Memphis, Golden State, Indiana who all have excess PGs and fill your need for the time being.
#6 SIGN AL THORNTON!!! He's a quality scorer who would be a REAL "spark off the bench"

this all after getting rid of Grunwald.

I think we aren't doing that badly considering Amare is playing like apeshit and besides Carmelo and Amare, nobody on this damn team can hit a three (except Novak).

Douglas is 2-15 behind the arc. Fields 3-10. Bibby 0-5. Role player are 9-45 behind the arc through three games.

it's going to change. outside shots will start falling. Amare will break this slump. And then with Baron to run the offense and Iman to guard the Ellises and Kobes, we will hopefully be back in elite shape.

My plan

1) Fire D'Antoni
2) Check if D'Antoni is fired
3) Double check

miami (lebron for 3 quarters) looks crazy good. atleast they learned from last season, dont give it to lebron in the 4th. and they are winning. noris/wade have been clutch for them in the 4th

sad to say they will be winning it this year

I don't know.
They barely beat the Bobcats and Timberwolves.
They also allowed the Celtics to come back and almost lost that one.

I'm not.

One is a shell of what he used to be good at (Powe), the other is a less skilled Al Harrington(Thornton).

The team just a new coaching direction, it has more than enough talent to compete.

Dude, you're a great poster and an awesome mod...but open your eyes. Yes,Mike D'Antoni sucks. That said, this roster is not good. We are not a good coach away from being a contender. We have no pg, I'm on the fence about our sg and our bench is one of the worst in the league. On top of that, our "prized" acquisition thus far has looked rather mediocre. We need help quick.
