Carter is only playing because Bayless is injured, he will return the end of the bench where he belongs. Also have to remember that Carter was injured in camp so he is just getting himself into shape.
Magloire/Gray whichever is playing are just there to pick up a few fouls and give one of the three regular bigs a quick breather, anything else is just gravy.
The real issue is why Butler is starting. Hell I'm not sure he should even be getting regular minutes at all, maybe try him as a guy who can come in and hit a quick three or something off the bench otherwise park him next to Carter and give his minutes to Gary Forbes and let's see what he has since he is on a long term deal.
Backing up Jose? Fine given the injury situation but it was ****ing inexcusable having him out there beside Jose in the 4th though (other than being competent at bringing the ball past court, I can't justify his role as a shooting guard). Winning is pretty much pointless at this point in the organizations timeline but a poor move nonetheless.

It's going to be fun watching Ed Davis get DNP-CDs when Gray is cleared to play. This franchise is hilarious.
I hate to say I told you so, but fact is, I told you so.
Casey seemed to have a problem with Ed since the beginning, never mentioning him in interviews, and rumors coming out about his work ethic and stuff.
That's why I said that I think it's very possible he's the one that gets shipped out of town for a lotto pick to solve the logjam.

I never disagreed with you on that one. What I want to happen and what I think the Raptors will do are two very different things.
But hopefully the reason for it will be that they draft Anthony Davis (who looks like an absolute beast). If it's Valanciunas and Davis at C and PF for the next 6 years, I think I can quickly forget about Ed Davis.
