Default Re: Let's talk about what the St. Louis Rams should do

Blackmon is supposed to be the best WR prospect in a while right?

I mean I know it's up and down depending on who you talk to but no doubt if he pans out he'll be a dominant WR for a decade. I'm thinking they could get some OL help later, and I'm hearing that Kalil might not be worth the pick (granted with the new CBA they don't invest as much money so maybe it pans out after all).

But if I'm the Rams I'm working the phones. Someone will want to move up to that 2 slot, especially if the RGIII hype gets rollin now that Landry and Barkley are out. Someone will panic and try to move up to get their QB. I have to believe that someone somewhere will want that 2 pick bad enough that they move down, get an extra pick and can get Blackmon and an OL still pretty high up.

That is what I would do as well...now with Landry out it makes the #2 spot even more valuable

AND this draft has lots of Tackles...they could move down in the first and take another tackle, and perhaps get an extra 1st rounder next year on top of it.

they also need a CB....and there are few CBs in this draft they could trade down to as well

I think Bradford is a much better building block than anything Miami has as well. Plus they have the second overall pick in the draft which will yield a big-time player. They have lots of cap space to fill out the team.

The only thing more attractive about Miami would be perhaps money and weather.

Dolphins are a QB away from being a pretty damn good team. The NFC west is getting better with teams like Arizona and Seattle looking like decent teams while San Fran is the dominant team.

Kalil is the cream of the crop. But I'm not against trading down and stockpiling as many picks as you can get. I am against drafting a WR #2 because that OL is a turnstyle. Bradford cant get Blackmon the ball when he is falling backwards. Unless he is superman.

Well Josh McDaniels is out of there, he agreed to become the Patriots Offensive Coordinator again. He will take over the job next weekend for the playoffs.

this is good news, and I assumed it had already been done because of how obvious it is when I made the OP.

not sure why they waited to get rid of him...perhaps it was a request by Fisher

Damn he was close to Miami but the Dolphins wanted to keep the GM as opposed to letting Fisher control it all. So he's going to Stl Rams. They're giving him what he wants, which is close to everything.

-Head coach options

Do they have a shot at Fisher? That is who I think they should aim for.

CHECK

-Draft

this is between OT Matt Kalil and WR Justin Blackmon

They have taken OL a lot in past couple drafts...and we all know they need WRs...I am hoping that Blackmon is the pick here

-Free Agency

how about Vincent Jackson...or maybe Deshawn Jackson?

that would allow them to draft Kalil

so many holes to fill...
...

Fisher needs to bring a great staff with him. Small speculation on if he'd try to get Washburn back at his side. Don't think Reid would allow it but who knows.

I'd expect Chuck Cecil, who was his D coordinator in Tennessee and supposedly one of his closest friends, to come in with him. Selecting a good offensive coordinator will be key.

If a while means since the last draft, then yeah. Don't think anyone rates him as any better than A.J. Green.

yep, Sam really was brought into a horrible situation here

I almost feel as though next year is Sam Bradford's actual rookie year

he needs a OC he can grow with for many years...
