No one had Jones going before Barkley this year and I don't think that will change after next season. USC has pretty much everyone returning (minus Kalil) and will finally be bowl eligible.
It depends. The way the season went after Broyles went down really hurt him. He has a chance to come back and have a really big season. With the wide receivers we have, possible DGB coming as well and with a more committed running attack he can put up some monster numbers. Keep in mind as well the changes at Okie state and RG3 being gone. Barkley will have the edge coming into the season coming off an impressive campaign, but Landry will be in the discussion as a top tier draft pick.
You keep going back to this. Did you forget the other best QB prospects in that draft class were Colt McCoy, Jimmy Clausen, and Tim Tebow? That was a really weak QB class. Bradford could have gone top 5 if he had come out the year before. He missed basically his entire last season at Oklahoma but, scouts saw his workout and felt like he was still the same guy they evaluated the year before, and also realized it was an incredibly weak QB class, and if you needed a QB, Bradford was really the only thing close to a "sure thing".
Landry Jones is going to be going up against a class of Matt Barkley, Tyler Bray, and Tyler Wilson. That's quite a bit stronger than the Clausen, McCoy, Tebow class.
Barkley is the only one of that group with a resume Landry has to take stock of. Wilson and Bray aren't going to put up big numbers in the offenses they are in. Bray is still unproven. Unless he is the second coming of Jay Cutler a qb on a mediocre team next year isn't going to be near the top 10.
