I don't think Shawne Williams will be available, but I could see Sheldon Williams falling to our pick, but it isn't likely. You couldn't go wrong with Collins though.
Sixers should draft either
Mardy Collins (big combo guard that can have AI slide to the SG at times, its like having Aaron Mckie again)
Cedric Simmons (athletic freak PF, great defender to back up Webber)
Rodney Carney or Ronnie Brewer (atheletic SFs, capable defenders and sixers can have Korver off the bench as the 6th man)
its pretty obvious the huge needs sixers have downlow, in rebounding and defense. i would love it if philly drafts shelden williams, but chances he falls are small. cedric simmons is fairly possible though, and i dont dislike him at all.
from what i've read mardy collins would be a good fit, tall pg with good ball handling and willingness to distribute. though im not sure he would be worth picking that high. some sites have us picking rajon rondo. he is an athletic freak and his name sounds cool. but he isn't really tall, cant shoot, and don't think he'd be a good fit.
if sixers go for a SF, everyone is thinking carney. but i like more thabo sefolosha. he seems to be very athletic himself, is a pretty good shooter and has displayed very nice basketball IQ.
overall, i hope sixers take either cedric simmons or thabo sefolosha.
King said that theyre looking to move up the draft...at least that's something interesting to look forward to. I want to see changes next season and not the same rag-tag team that King built.
I believe nothing of what a GM says to the meida, obviously he's not going to come out and say "yeah we're looking to trade Sam". I just know the soft spot Billy has for his own guys and how he tends to overvalue them. Plus, he knows he may look bad moving Sam after signing him to the big deal.
It seems that their trading partner will be the Hawks, im cool trading Ai if we get back Marvin Williams plus the Hawks first round this year without giving up our 13th. That would be a good rebuilding move but it was just reported that Marving Williams isnt available for AI. Another scenario with Atlanta is since Belkin is now in charge, maybe Joe Johnson is on the block. He tried preventing signing JJ as a free agent last year and might look to move him. Still, i think the team that Billy King is talkin to is Atlanta and sure hope that he gets something done.
