as for the Pitt D, they were missing 3 starters and most importantly their starting safety

who missed the tackle at the 50 on that TD?

oh yea, a safety.
4 starters if you include Aaron Smith.. and Woodley was nowhere near 100%, he was leaving the game every other defensive play.. Ryan Mundy tried cheating for the run on the last play and Tebow and Thomas made him pay for it...

sure that is true however its intellectually dishonest to act as if he shredded a full strength Steelers D.

essentially when it was the WR that actually made the play to win the game.

All QBs get the credited when the receiver is racking up yards after contact. Why should Tebow be different? He isn't a great passer and it wasn't an amazing throw but he did execute the play correctly under a ton of pressure. He gets some credit for that.

Jon Ritchie still hates Tebow from what I'm listening to on the First Take podcast.

b/c HE isn't the one that won the game even though Skip Bayless and his endless hyperbole would try to make you believe otherwise.

any football fan with a brain knows that there are other players on the field besides the QB.

just b/c a lazy ass media and dumbed down casual football fans think otherwise doesn't make it true.

and BTW, where is all that credit for Trent Dilfer?

Why is it when Tebow does well, or relatively well, he never gets credit from people like you but when Tebow does terrible he gets all the blame? Tebow had a good game against a good defense. Not many 24 year old QB's could go out and do what Tebow just did.

Now if Tebow performs badly the next game and the Broncos lose that's another story. But Tebow played well and the team won. Why is it hard for people like you to accept this fact?

why is it when people don't give Tebow ALL the credit for winning its suddenly turned on them like they are saying he had absolutely no hand in winning?

He played ok, he made a pass that should be a requirement to get into the league, the banged up Pitt D played like shit and the rest of the team carried them to a win. This isnt rocket science.

Why the hell should I slobber all over him when he didn't do anything slobber worthy? Do you not see the ridiculous overreactions in this thread and in the media?

You can't compare a 300yd/3 total TD game to a Dilfer performance. No one player is ever solely responsible but on Sunday night Tebow deserved as much credit as most any great QB after a win. He did his job and did it well.

Is it slobber worthy? Obviously not. He played a great game. Zero turnovers, did everything that was asked of him and than some. It wasn't just some average outing than any routine QB could have duplicated the exact same.

People blame that last throw on the defense. Denver ran 21\22 times on first downs or something crazy like that. Why? Because with Tim Tebow they've had the best rushing attack because that's an element he brings at QB. He's a huge part of the running game, witch is a huge part of Denver's offense. Any team in the league is bringing the safety up 9\10 against Denver on 1st down. It was a great call, Tebow executed in a huge moment and made the throw, Thomas took it to the house. 3 way credit.

Your just as bad as the fanatics. It's annoying as hell. It's either "meh he was average he got carried by his teammates or "TIM TEBOW IS A GOD OMG". Very rarely is there many in the middle ground.

It's kinda funny too because the people that piss you off giving Tebow the credit? Your exactly like them just on the other end of the spectrum. Win as a team, lose as a team. Tebow is a big part of when they win just like he is when they lose and he can't complete a pass to save his life. Want to hate somebody, hate the media that gives all the glory to the QB instead of the team as a whole.

wait you mean the media that pronounced the guy's career as dead before he was even drafted? you mean the media that tried to convince the world that "he can't play"? there's ONE guy in the media who's backing Tebow. the Tebow haters far outnumber the supposed strawman "tebow is god" crowd

Just meant in general. Media always tries to glorify one position\player when 99% of the time it was a combined effort of everybody. Nobody carried anybody in the Denver game. O-Line played good, D played good, WR's made plays, Tebow made play's etc.

Meanwhile people like Kentam says Tebow got carried and than you have Bayless\Tebow fanataics giving Tebow all the credit. Same concept, same people just different opinions.
