I will wait for the combine to get his exact measurement, just as Rodgers, Romo and Eli did. I suspect that 6-foot-2, 225 pounds is a total fudge of the numbers. He certainly doesn't look that size when I watch him play.

But, even if those numbers were proven right, 6-foot-2 is not tall for an NFL QB.

Eli certainly doesn't support your argument because he is tall (which is the main thing) and he literally never runs (so his frame doesn't come into play much).

There are exceptions like Romo, Rodgers and Brees, but for the most part, NFL QBs that make the cut are giants... Roethlisberger, Brady, Flacco, Matt Ryan, Bradford, Cam Newton, Phillip Rivers, Josh Freeman, Matt Hasselbeck, etc.

I wouldn't dismiss a prospect simply based on size, but it is one of several issues that I have with Griffin. If you are tall and can see over your 6-foot-5 linemen, you are ahead of the game.

I like tall QBs too...

I think 6'4" - 6'5" is perfect

any taller and I think it starts to become a bad thing...they have to bend over too far for the snap...lanky slow strides when running

6' 2" isn't undersized though...that's just "normal size"

Kiper regraded last years draft. Looks like a killer group. Things are finally getting done right in Cleveland.

Quote:
Post-draft grade: B+

Summary: Forgive the superlatives, but this draft could be a quiet monster in terms of getting value up and down the board. It's a fair critique to wonder about the value of a rookie class on a top team versus the time rookies can see for a noncontender such as Cleveland. And the Browns still need to get something done on offense if they want to compete, particularly at quarterback. But you at least can say the strength of this team is on defense, and the first two picks were a big part of that. No. 21 overall pick Phil Taylor started all 16 games and proved to be a great fit in this scheme. Jabaal Sheard looks like a future star and piled up 8.5 sacks along with forcing five fumbles. Greg Little needs to become more consistent, but, after missing a year of football, he showed hints of future stardom -- he had seven more catches than Julio Jones. Buster Skrine looks really good in what was already a good secondary, and Jason Pinkston gave the Browns 16 starts after being taken at No. 150. Owen Marecic and Jordan Cameron have potential. The offense couldn't do enough to make this team competitive, but it can't really take the shine off this class for me. Put it this way: If the Browns make the playoffs next season, it won't be because they had to replace any of these picks.

New grade: A-

Not a surprise to anyone that watched the Browns consistently this year. They did that draft re-do on ESPN.com about halfway through the season and both Taylor and Sheard had jumped up dramatically... And that was before Sheard really started going nuts.

If that draft was to be done over, Sheard would probably be a Top 10 pick... And we got him in the second round.

That was a phenomenal draft by Heckert and Holmgren. If they can do the same thing this year with the offense, we will be in good shape. I have so much faith in those guys at this point, I will support pretty much any decisions that they make. They know what they are doing, obviously.

Not saying the Browns drafting hasn't been fantastic or anything but Kiper is the absolute worst "draft expert" I have ever seen...there are posters here that have better scouting skills than Kiper, and I am not joking about that, 100% serious...

I don't even know how that guy has a job doing what he does...he is AWFUL

he got Haden right...maybe he just knows the Browns well lol

Everyone had Anthony Davis going to The Raiders in the 1st because of his freak of nature combine, and Al Davis's love of athletes. He ended up with The Raiders just not in the 1st round.

its really hard to be accurate when you make a mock draft directly after the NFL season.

no that was Kiper's mockin the weeks leading up to the draft on ESPN...

he had Clausen as his #1 player DURING THE DRAFT

Kiper just SUCKS at mocking and scouting

here is Peter King on same draft:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...aft/index.html

King got the first 4 picks correct...and Seattle as well

not perfect but still much more accurate than Kiper who's mock is just wrong all over
