They're not bad shots. He's wide open, and has been consistently knocking them down for the last two or three years. With Chandler down low, you have to be able to hit that shot.
I guess you'd prefer he put the ball down and drive into traffic. Watching him get stripped and turn the ball over is always fun.
Not as fun as getting blocked 3 times in a row by smaller Amir Johnson.
We wont be able to keep Lin after this season if we dont get him at least 1 superstar to play with. I think we should trade any and everything to make it happen besides Chandler. I really dont want to go through what Cleveland and Orlando went through losing our main guy for nothing.
Franchize should get a kick outta this one!
The Knicks will go as far as the Charged up Azian takes us.

We'll be able to keep him for at least another season.
I'm almost 100% sure he'll be a Knick next season.
So you want to build around Lin, whose resume is 10 games vs Carmelo Anthony, whose resume is 7 years.
Carmelo Anthony has been a winner at every level of his entire life. In high school he was an absolute superstar. In college he won a title in his only season. In the NBA, he took a 17 win Denver team to the playoffs in his first year, and should have won ROY. He has been to the playoffs every year of his career.
Let's throw that all away for a point guard, that can't play defense, and whose stats have been inflated playing in a gimmick system against the worst teams in the NBA over a 10 game stretch.

Sounds like the way to go.
Carmelo mostly lead the Knicks to an 8-15 record losing to those scrubby teams. Lin at least beat the Lakers and Dallas.
Melo isnt a NBA winner they acknowledge him for his scoring.
They have a shitty coach. Carmelo has never been 7 games below .500 in his entire life.
Don't worry. Rameek has relinquished all his stellar basketball knowledge and resorted to typical NY bandwagoning around a fan favorite.

Doesnt matter what you say He isnt known as a winner but a scorer.....
Thank you Jasi
Last time I checked, he's been in the playoffs damn near every year he's been in the league. N before you go on and on about Lin changing our record singlehandedly and Melo causing his teams to lose, what was Denver's record before they drafted Melo?

I really think we could get some young talented pieces and extra draft picks plus salary relief and build a real contender around Lin.

So it was bad to trade Gallo and Chandler for a proven star. But it's ok to trade a proven star for unproven draft picks?
Say we get the 1st pick and draft Davis or Barnes, then they turn out to be busts. Now we have Lin and a bunch of role players. Then we start to lose obviously and D'Antoni finally gets fired. Then what if we find out Lin stats were inflated by his system (as was the case with Nate,Raymond,Duhon, Toney etc). Get where I'm going with this? You're theory is exactly what has plagued the Knicks for a decade. We get a star in here, and instead of building around him and being patient, the fans, media and eventually FO run him outta town.
I sat back and watched people tell me that Gallo was going to be a Knick superstar for 3+ years every single game. Never happened. But I'm supposed to trade a guy who HAS been a star for us just because we aren't immediately a contender? It hasn't even been a calendar year yet. Damn.
