More I look, the more I like it. It's very rare to see a home dog at this point in the playoffs.

San Fran is 8-0 ATS at home this season.

Saints average 27.25 points on the road.
Niners average 27.625 points at home.

Dree Brees on the road. 17 TDs, 8 INTs, QB Rating 100.7
Alex Smith at home. 12 TDs, 3 INTs, QB Rating 99.8

It's more then just weather - it's the crowd loudness and how that effects Drew Brees and his offensive line. Their stadium will be rocking for this game.

Also its harder to run on grass and they'll be running in very damp grass, those sprinklers have gotten a lot of run this week at the stick.

The real question is can the Niners score 21-27 points, which I think they can. Niners D hasn't allowed 30 points all year, not happening today @ home either.

Teams usually win and score at home a little more. I dont expect them to put up the same amount of points on the road as they do at home, that would be insane. Not even the pack are doing that. With that said, 27 PPG on the road is elite and nothing to be ashamed of.

I think that the saints will thrash the 49ers just like OP stated and the crowd noise will diminish when the niners keep settling for FG's and the saints get ahead.

Grossman made way too many mistakes to be a game manager.

Smith doesn't have the stats to show but at least he's not throwing 20 INTs like Grossman was.
