If it happened now he'd be flagged 15 yards but Montana would still be dead so i'm not sure much would change. There was no turnover, just a dead QB.

Plus unless my memory is bad he didn't hit with his head, just his body. He just hit him very solid while Montana was not expecting it at all (for some reason).

Nope, he led with head.

BTW, Gobb you are getting very Bagelredish. Lots of whining on late hits, unfair hires of coaches, etc. I'm dissapointed in you, you are from Philly. You should be complaining that Montana was able to get to his knees.

so have i, but more 49ers. Certainly not all Giants. but i guarantee by Friday, it will be "everyone is picking the Giants, no one is picking the 49ers, so disrespected".

His helmet connected with the bottom of Joe's helmet. Thats why Joe didnt know what team he played for on the sidelines. and after given smelling salts said "Ny Jets?"

*puts starter jacket over Joe and hands him a hot chocolate*

15yd penalty, SF gets a new set of downs and well who knows what history writes. NYG probably still win anyway. So who cares

Just pointing out how hits like that dont go down much today.

im tired of the video of the 49ers tackling our receiver after we completely ****ed up the field goal attempt at the end of the game. Pissed me off more than any play, i was pissed at my own team, at losing, and at the officials who watched a receiver get tackled and thought it was ok somehow.

i still say as a person from Philly you should have said "what a ***** hit, they let Montana get up? he should have went back and hit him again".

Something like that.

Got to love 49ers/Giants. some real men playing football. not timing patterns and "don't mess up my hair" offense in NE.
