Drummond has said he isn't coming out this year

if you've watched him you'd know he is a once in a lifetime type prospect and nothing like Kwame

bigger hands, longer, more athletic, soft touch around the basket and range to about 10 ft already

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2l_Qwmf5Qk

he is not featured much in their offense because he joined the team relatively late for a college player PLUS he suffered a broken nose so it has slowed him down until very recently

Speculation is pretty irrelevant at this point.
Dude is projected as #1 or #2 so I doubt he'll stay.

I would respect his decision though, as he doesn't look ready.

If the season were to end today, we would be tied with Sacramento for 5th worst, I've heard that this is a good draft class, would we still be able to pick a decent or good player in this current position?

The player that most people want MKG would be around from the mocks ive read. But we might even be able to get one of the higher projected guys cause it seems each year someone in the top five takes a guy no one thought of in the top few picks. still alot of games to be played though so where we are now doesnt matter much.

This is true, while I don't know much from who are the good picks, it has happened before that there has been a WTF pick that no one saw coming, allowing for the projected player to go later.

Thanks for the input.

How the talent stacks up right now, IMO:

Tier 1
Anthony Davis

Tier 2
Drummond
MKG
Barnes

Tier 3
Sullinger (I'm personally not a big fan of his though)
Lamb
Perry Jones (very high bust potential)

Basically, I really want the Raptors to be picking top 4.

The safe pick in this draft is Beal. You know what you are getting from him he doesn't need to develop as a player just improve his strengths.

Beal scares me.

Small SG. Really good shooter but lacks the ability to get to the rim. Good defender but he lacks the size to cover bigger/stronger SG's. I don't think I'd take him with a top 10 pick.

Yeah, not a player that we should be targetting.

@DaveTelep
Watching the Experts. My head is about to explode. How can anyone NOT take Anthony Davis to start a team?

we already have DeRozan at the 2 and im not sure if we can get enough minutes for him

this is one of the best drafts in a while and i dont think we should be stocking up at positions we dont necessarily have minutes for

raptors need to draft a 3, to me it's clear as day

not sold on Barnes yet. Not sure if he is content taking pullup jumpers most of the time or whether he has legitimate trouble getting to the rim

if it's that latter, then he definitely is not a player we should be looking at that high in the draft

Honestly, with the state of our roster right now, I'd take the best available talent wherever we are picking. This draft is so deep, if we have a high pick it should be the best talent we can just take and then move pieces around to fit him in and develop him.

I thnk the Raptors will draft a PG.

Whether the Raptors get a PG with a 1st round or 2nd round pick, they will probably get a PG.

Here's some PG Rankings

Terrible year to need a pg in the draft- esp w a top 10 pick, it just isn't happening. Tony Wroten at Washington is a 6-5 lefty that will be a good nba pg, but the growing pains would be huge. I'd figure he goes somewhere in the middle of the 1st so would take trading in for him, but he might fit real nice still. The untalked about pg of this draft is Oregon states Jared Cunningham who in a terrible program with a terrible coach goes unmentioned but imo would be a huge steal if he was the second round pick (I think he's a lottery pick but he doesn't even show up on top 100 boards that I see- do yourself the favor of watching whatever you can find of Cunningham)
