No way that's going to happen. No way the Magic are trading Howard AND Jameer and only getting back Chandler, Lopez, Douglas and Fields.

Like I said, if the Knicks don't do what ever it takes to make a deal happen I would never be able to forgive them.

The thing about it is that according to the report the Magic was the one initiating the call, which is huge.

All Grunwald has to do simply is entertain the offer, knowing that since it can't happen until march anyway, since Chandler can't be traded until then.

I seriously doubt the Lakers really want to part with Bynum, even tho he has injury concerns.

I would have prefer SAS just kept something like this quite though, as I'd rather be a sleeper.

as much as id like to see amare work for new york, i really dont see why the magic would even consider doing something like this. trade dwight for 2 overpaid big men who, along with melo are on a 6-10 team. i think theyd rather let dwight walk and get the cap space than tying up 30-35 mill per in these 2 guys. if such a deal went down i think shumpert would be gone too

Most likely Otis Smith is just getting feelers out there for what the market yields for Dwight.

Amar'e and Chandler wouldn't be bad for the Magic as they having the required pg play to maximize both of those guys, plus Amar'e is from that area.

We know Dolan would do it in a heartbeat and include Shumpert even though he would be necessary.

If the Lakers said no, Orlando isn't gonna just let Dwight walk, but this wouldn't even have to be done at the deadline, unless Dwight tells them he would opt out.

I thought Chandler could be traded in February? I thought it was 2 months or March 1st, whichever is earlier.

The Lakers would be dumb to veto a trade for Howard just because they don't wanna lose Bynum. Bynum is no superstar.

magic said they didnt want young players and picks, but rather have veterans part of the deal cus they didnt want to take a step back. so tyson and amare would be decent compensation for dwight.

and this whole deal about amares uninsured contract...it only matters when he does get injured and hed have 3 years left on it anyway. so the deal would expire at the low end of his prime.

even then, we dont even know if dwight will resign with us.

Chandler can be traded 60 days after signing, I rounded off the March 1st part, as the trade deadline is somewhere mid March.

As far as the Lakers go, they love Bynum, really love him.

So much they think he is better for the franchise than Howard.

Now if it were me depending on how my roster was built there is only three centers I would build around right now......

Bynum, Howard, Bogut.

Two are injury prone, and that's the only concern I'd have.

If I could get Howard on this team, and it took Amar'e + Chandler, I'd say "nice knowing you, thanks for the memory......"

Orlando could hand back any doo-doo contract they wanted to, even Hedo, since his is shorter than our guys contracts are.

Hedo's Contract....

2011-12: $10,600,000.
2012-13: $11,400,000.
2013-14: $12,200,000 [Player Option].
2014-15: UFA

Ryan Rooco radio show said something very interesting...

Knick fans are always looking for saviors that are not playing on the team...I think its an awesome point. Knick fans are always looking for miracle cures from players.

First cure Stat, then Melo, then Boomdiddy, now Dhoward.

Amare/Chandler played for their lives today to negate any chances of moving to Orlando.

Rucco can STFU on this one.

The Knicks haven't done anything, Orlando made the phone call, and it's just a feeler to see what Dwight could command for them.

But yeah I'd take Hedo, FatBaby, Duhon and all their junk for Dwight.

Trade Melo. We'd be fine with Hedo. Get Nash.

Nash
Fields
Hedo
Amar'e
Dwight

I would like to see that.
