Default Heres something to get excited about

Phoenix acquired his draft rights (28th overall) from San Antonio for a future protected first-round pick on draft day on June 26, 2003...

from nba.com. i noticed we havent used that pick in the 04-06 drafts... maybe were gonna pull off a detroit pistons move (going to finals and being in lottery from a previous trade that got them the 2nd draft pick) and get a top pick (depends on how the balls bounce in the lottery machine) and maybe get greg oden? man, talk about twin towers v2.0

as nice as that would be there are 2 things standing in our way...first the pick is protected so if its a lottery pick the suns can option to keep it. second the suns wont be a lottery team anytime soon so it will be a while until we get something great in return.

true- but the spurs have been able to find talent in the bottom half & 2nd round of the draft. as well, having an extra 1st round pick is a pretty good asset to package in case of a trade.

isn't that the pick we used on mahami in 05 because two of our picks went to knicks in the nazr Mohamed deal were they got David lee last year and Collins this year.
