Default MarShon Brooks has a broken toe

Quote:
The Nets have announced via Twitter that MarShon Brooks has "a broken little toe on his right foot. No timetable for his return". Brooks will see a foot specialist later Monday.

Brooks tweeted "sigh" shortly the news was announced. He arrived at practice Monday morning with swelling in his toe. He was given an x-ray which revealed the fracture.

Sigh indeed. The injury bug has not been nice to us this season..

Well this, we may as well try to win the lottery this season. Our future big three like Dwight - Anthony Davis - Deron aint bad at all.

This really sucks when a top 3 rookie gets injured. It will be hard for him to get back into rythem considering when he got back vs the Raptors he was clearly not ready. As for a lottery pick, I've been watching the Nets suck for like 5 years straight. I do not by any means want to rely on a big 3 that has a rookie in it tbh. I would rather have proven veterens. A rookie is fine, but the Nets need to win next year.

Well this year's draft is special, like 2003 and 2008's. We've gotta make good use of it, a rookie PF or SF will be rather nice. Id be more interested in a SF myself though, if we do end up with Dwight.

I hope we end up with Dwight through FA (sorry Orlando fans) so we don't have to give up 3-4 bodies +picks for him. I say that because I really want Kris Humphries to be a Net for several more years, just because his rebounding and work ethic are hard to find, and we may be able to trade Lopez and obtain someone like Andre Igodoula, who is a very gritty defender, rebounder, a good passer, and scorer.

I haven't looked at payrolls yet but if we package the right players a lineup of Dwight,Deron, Humphies,Andre, and Brooks or Marrow is terrific. Although our bench would suck, that's a sick lineup.
