Those are his last 8 games. On pace for 74/1280/8 without playing the 1st game (or at least not registering on the stat sheet, not sure) and not starting until weeek 3 (when Manningham got hurt).
Good WR benefiting from playing with a red hot QB and also getting to line up in the slot a lot. He also has two very good WRs who deflect a lot of attention. The one game Nicks missed, he didn't play that great when forced to line up outside.

This is also my response. Cruz is def a capable playmaker but his niche is a lot more limited than what a bona fide #1 like Nicks can do.
VC is speedy and deceptive but also plays tough. What he's doing is more along the lines of what I expected Percy Harvin to contribute, offensively. Cruz is no doubt ballin this season but I think a lot of that success can be attributed to Eli.

i think he's the real deal, if anything Manningham is extremely overrated. Giants coaching staff has been holding Cruz down and they kept thinking it was some fluke, mostly Gilbride. he'd always be making these statements like "that is only 1 game he has to show he can do it consistently...", etc. type shit while Manningham was dropping passes, running bad routes, etc. and still being played over Cruz. Cruz has a deceptively strong base where he's not ez to tackle and he makes plays against top corners. he abused Asomogh yesterday.
the mannings make no name WRs into potential superstars.
cruz was an undrafted WR but he has taken over steve smith's slot receiver duties. and he has beasted on asomwha (dunno how to spell) the most. i prefer him over manningham too, because manningham is good for at least 1 huge drop a game or he runs a 5 yard pattern when the giants need 8 yards. cruz can also be dynamic after the catch, he's got moves.
eli has looked human the past 2 weeks, why? because the offensive line is playing like shit!
A couple of Cruz's TDs have been bobbled if I'm not mistaken so I think he's getting lucky. Hakeem Nicks has been out to which has given him a lot of looks. At the end of the day, I'll take a healthy Nicks over Cruz any day.

Right. Cruz is clearly a talented player, but he benefits from having one of the best young receivers in the league across from him. Defenses have to match their best corners against Nicks and also occasionally roll coverage to his side.
