Don't get me wrong, Kyrie's playing his ass off and has a very bright future, but what LeBron did as a rookie was just amazing. Consider the expectations he had coming out of high school. The guy was on Sports Illustrated as a Junior in high school. People were comparing him to Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan before he could legally vote. He was the most hyped up player ever, and he easily surpassed everyone's expectations. That's just damn impressive.
It's not really surprising to see Kyrie having a better rookie year than LeBron did tbh. Kyrie has no competant offensive players around him, but LeBron had no competant defenders around him which is as bad or worse. That 2003 team was a monster disaster. This Cavs team is not a good team either by any measure, but the role players are winners unlike the role players LeBron was surrounded by.
