You realize they would be paying him the min right? You can pay as many players as want the min salary without it eating into your MLE so the only risk they would be taking is him taking up a spot on their roster and getting them one body closer to 15. Just off the pasts together I think George Karl owes him that.

Just like he was the last 2 years right? Nene is the perfect example of a big athletic freak getting hyped more of his strength and athleticism than his play on the court. Add in he's coming off a torn up knee that might seriously take away from his athleticism and who knows what type of player he will be, and eved adds to the likelihood of him not being worht the contract he will be offered by a team like Atlanta or Toronto.

i saw recent pics of him and he looked massive. i just cant see a guy that big and athletic failing to be good when fully fit.

Was like Amare with defense for those who never got to see him.

He still looks massive in that photo, but a lot better than the last couple of years. Hope he comes back and contributes.

he should have taken a shot with a playoff bound team (a la tim thomas) with the possibility of earning a big contract this off-season.

he did try to do that. Dallas was considering signing him when KVH broke his hand late in the season.
