It's not a fight. It's just hitting somebody. A fight is when two people who are both willingly ready to throw down go at it.

As someone who has both done that, and had it done to me, I can tell you from experience it's a natural reaction when you are in a crowd/brawl. One on one fights are totally different from punching someone with an angry group of people around. You can call it cowardice if you want, but it is a normal human reaction.

If Carmelo were a coward, he wouldn't have run up to help Smith at the very beginning. A coward runs from a situation like that. I have seen it many times.

I got into a big brawl in a supermarket about 10 years ago. One of my friends ran away through the produce section, while we are all fighting in the loose candy section. He is a coward.

The funny thing is, the one who ran is the reason we got into the fight in the first place.

Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and Antawn Jamison were the first players to come to mind.

My definition of a soft player is one that shies away from any and all contact. He appears to do that in those pics.

fair enough

it may have been a soft play, or it may have been a smart play, i guess you could make the case either way.

Sounds like Matt Bonner (except for skinny), who is definitely the softest player getting significant (over 20 mins) play time. Novak's getting less than half of Bonner's time.
