What's wrong about saying the right things, being a role model and being a leader? Not to mention he has ice in his veins and he doesn't give one shit what people think of him. Just remeber a couple of season ago people where calling Eli a bust, people were ripping him in NY and he just went out and won a superbowl.
I don't give a shit what people in NY say about him, a good 75% of NY sports fans are blowhard morons.

And it's not because he's reserved and a nice guy. It's because he honestly comes off as fairly dumb and lacking in any off the cuff social skills in basically any public setting to me. No one said he's a shitty QB, he's a great one, and that's all that matters.

I don't understand this notion where you think he's dumb or lacking social skills. His college gpa was 3.44(not the best but still good) while he's a great public speaker.

I don't even know why I'm arguing this right now

The surprising thing with the Rey Maualuga story is, for being a guy who reguarly misses tackles, that his punch connected.

Only thing thing good is happening at 3 am.

He doesn't come across as stupid, he's very well spoken. And he's been in the league 7 years, in that time you'd have heard him enough that calling him stupid strikes me as excessive. Especially coming from an Indy fan who probably heard similar unfair things about their QB at times and about his personality. Aloof? Even confused at times? But stupid, no.

My 2 cents.

Me and a few of my friends always comment on how he kind of "looks" not that bright. There's really no basis on it but its just a conclusion we've come to

Nnamdi released because of his contract

then Routt (picked up by KC btw)

and now it looks like Huff is about to be released for contract reasons...(and going to Dallas)

someone in Oakland is horrible at math

I really hope the Lions can work out a deal with Cliff Avril. He developed into one of my favorite players this year.

Awesome. Maybe the Jets are getting ready to make a big move. And no, I'm no talking about Peyton.

So I know it's been a foregone conclusion to the media for awhile, but the interviews with Chuck Pagano and Ryan Grigson (new GM) at the Combine today convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt Peyton's getting cut. Was still holding out a bit of hope I guess. Neither have seen him throw, neither have even spoken to him. Grigson got asked about salary cap flexibility and got a little smirk and said "well we'll be in a lot better shape a year from now."

I also want to root for Grigson really bad, he's a Purdue guy, but I haven't been impressed so far. Seems in over his head, we'll see, proof's in the pudding and all that.

Luck ran a 4.59 40. Exact same as Cam Newton.
