I'd actually lose respect for Nash if he stayed in Phoenix. Sorry, but at this point it'd be because he doesn't want to be looked at as a guy who left for a ring... um I think a ring as a role player (which he wouldn't be- any team he'd be a huge contributor) is more valuable that staying with one franchise. Then again, maybe he just doesn't want to leave. I guess, but he'll probably regret it.

I'm sure Steve Nash will lose sleep over your diminished respect.
No, you're not winning a title built around Dudley, but every team needs solid role players. He's a top notch one. Morris will be a decade long NBA starter. Gortat has been a very pleasant surprise. They'll draft fairly high and sign a starter via FA. So, in a Western Conference where the traditional powers have gotten old and the young teams are still putting it together, you're competitive. That's not a bad rebuild from where they ended last season.
Um (that's always such an indicator that something of real substance is coming next) he's discussed it several times. Where he plays and who he plays with is more important to him than anything else.
He's got money, success, going down in history as one of the best ever at his position, first ballot HOF, and has lived his professional life on his terms. What part of that do you think he'll regret?
Engage in the silly hypotheticals all you want. He'll play two more seasons and retire a Sun. In principle, the deal is done.
