Which would be stupid. He's a free agent in 2 or 3 months. Worth auditioning on biggest role or best team rather than taking 1 mill extra cash. He could win multiple championships over next decade with Clippers or Bulls.

This is true. Plus he knows most of the core is intact for several seasons.

The dude you're replying to doesn't understand logic. Guys who play major roles on winning teams that go deep into the playoffs always get paid. I'm sure JR's agent isn't so short sighted as to focus on 1.5 vs 2.5 and not look at putting his player in the best possible situation to earn a bigger contract over the summer.

I'm not saying he's signing with the Clippers, I hope so though. Bulls would be a great situation too. Lakers and Knicks would be okay. If I were him I'd trust what's left of this season to the best all around pg in the league passing me the ball...

I didn't say it was smart, I said I think he would do it.
Why did he go to China? IMO this dude needs/wants cash.
He'll take the biggest offer, average 15-17 a game somewhere, sign somewhere next season for biggest offer and be an expensive 6th man for the rest of his career.

Shove it up your arse, I'm one of the most logical around.
But we are talking about JR Smith here, not logic.
I'm predicting logically what the illogical will do.

Chris Paul told ESPN he thinks there is a very good chance Jr is joining the Clippers. He goes on to cite the many friendships Jr has with Clipper players. It's not official but CP3 seems to love the odds.

I think we know he is guaranteed to go to either Knicks, Bulls or Clippers. My gut says Bulls or Clippers, but the reports say that Knicks are the frontrunners..Ive heard whispers about the pacers too.
