Ironic post considering most posters here want the Raptors to lose and now complain that some fans cheer for another player. Most poster here, and I'm happy to say seldomly come here because of it, pretend to be Raptor fans yet bash the crap put of them at every opportunity.

hilarious. I don't think this team is good enough to have any pretend fans.

Lin is a great story and I do hope he continues the ridiculous streak he's been on (I also hope he learns to dribble left and play some D), but the city's reaction to the guy has been ridiculous.

my thoughts exactly. cheering for him all game I take no issue with. I like Lin and I enjoy watching him play. Cheering for him hitting a game winner in your building is totally different and I don't think that should ever happen in any sport. Just like I was against fans at MSG chanting MVP for opposing players as I said earlier.

The only thing better would have been a camera catching Colangelo as that final shot went in to see a single tear coming out of that bastard's eye.

Lin fans

let's face it, in order to sell out like we do we have to sell games as entertainment rather than through the fans attachment to the team

a lot of people i know who go to raptors games know nothing about basketball and if they do its minimal

as for the game against NY, it was Asian Heritage night and let's face it, now that there is an Asian American "star" in the league we should be expecting this in Toronto everytime he comes into town

Even though Im chinese but I am completely with you on this one. I like the player but I am sick of shallow Jeremy Lin fans.

The fact is the crowd that was cheering for Lin are not raptor fans to begin with.

Doesnt bother me a bit, the product that the raptors have put out there isnt really worth any cheering/praise/support.

I don't understand Toronto fans whatsoever. They went from cheering wildly for the guy to booing him everytime he touched the ball. Change of heart?

There were a lot of Asians who seemingly weren't Raptors fans in the crowd the night of Asian Heritage night. Last night I guess there wasn't. I can't confirm that, but thats the point he's trying to make.

And the point i'm trying to make is not about the cheers on his first visit to TO, it's about the boos on his second. Why did he get booed?

There were a lot of Asians in the crowd on 'Asian heritage night' , so it makes sense they would be cheering for the one Asian guy playing on the floor. The game before was just a regular game with a regular crowd, so they gave him the visiting team treatment.

Anyway, trying to explain the Toronto sports fan base in general isn't always easy.
