In that case, I take back my last post. Ridnour and Blake are definitely on the same level. Neither is an upgrade over the other, at least not significant enough to matter

It was my bad.....I didn't clearly state that I was talking about Ridnour

Let's not forget that Minnesota really wants Pau link up with Rudio. Beasley is a given for something like TP and not much more. But, let's not forget Minny will be coming after Pau also, therefor I think more to come and Mitch will be listening for sure.

How bad do Minny wants Pau...and what will they give up.

Kevin Love? The replacement for him would be Pau...

Beasley for TP? The replacement for him would be Williams off their bench.

There's no doubt Minnesota was interested in Pau. But now that Pekovic (before the injury) has been tearing it up for them I'm not so sure they're all that interested in him anymore. I think they're just trying to make room for Williams (which is why we'll see plenty of Beasley rumors). I don't think there's any way they trade Love for Pau. I think they want Love paired up with Rubio for quite some time to come. There's not a team in the league that takes Pau over Love at this point in their careers.

Default Maybe we should just trade Pau for Derrick Williams and Picks

Okay so I have been thinking. We have a team that consists of 3 all stars. two of them getting older, one of them still very young.

if we keep letting guys get older, we won't get any helpful trade value in return. I doubt for some reason that the lakers will even let Pau retire as a laker. I feel like he'd either walk in free agency, or just retire.

Here are the positives if we trade Pau to minnesota:

1) We get a rookie who has been playing decently lately, he is someone that is expected to be great. By the time he fully develops, we will have a very very good star caliber player, to play along side andrew bynum, who has been excellent this season.

2) We get 2 draft picks to go along with our 2 other draft picks. That gives us 4 that we can think about using, and who knows, we can possibly trade up in the draft with those 4 picks.

I just don't see a point in keeping Pau Gasol if we have no chance of winning right now. If we don't win now, when do we plan on winning? We're wasting Pau's last good years. Its time to start rebuilding so that we can get good again before the CBA kicks in full effect.

Love and Rubio are untouchable and after that Minnesota has nothing you want in return for Pau.
