Default Players who needed a change of scenery/teams that thrived

Sometimes, players that switch teams ende up faring worlds better than their previous one.

What are some instances of 'player goes from Team A to Team B, thrives and plays better on Team B than he did with Team A'.

One example I had:

Grant Hill- Missed a lot of games with injuries in Orlando, but has been healthier (and productive) in Phoenix. In 2001-02, he played just 14 games for the Magic. In his first 4 seasons with the Suns, he missed 14 games combined! (Let's not forget he played in a majority of games when he was with Detroit)

Um, Chandler Melo and Amare haven't thrived in New York. Did you read the op?

They've all thrived at various points with the Knicks. Just not together.

When did Melo thrive in New York? (Honest question, I really don't know)

Are you asking for an example?

I'd say one of the greatest examples of all-time has to be Jermaine O'Neal going from Portland to Indiana. He went from a garbage time player to an instant all-star. Too lazy to look it up but didn't he also win MIP?

For a current player, even though he fits the system, I believe James Harden can do bigger things as a first option type player. Kinda like how Joe Johnson transitioned, but better.

Last year, when healthy, they played very well. They were 7-1 vs the top teams. Injuries destroyed them though.

Melo being Melo (on Tony Allen too)

Game two of the playoffs springs to mind. He had 42 I think.

Eh, I'll take that one back. He arguably had his best season as a Hornet, and that was being a backup to Paul. Absurd.
