When it comes to the PCL guys, I'm mainly looking at their BB/K #'s. I don't care how many HRs Sndier hits there, the main thing is whether or not his patience is improving. Then again, at least from what I've read in the past, don't some of the PCL parks totally neuter breaking balls as well? So even if the players show improvement in their patience, it might just be a mirage because once they face MLB quality breaking stuff they'll be lost again.
With D'Arnaud, I don't think anyone is expecting Mike Piazza. If he stays in the high .700's OPS-wise with a decent OBP, I'll be happy with that. I want a solid hitting catcher that you can put ou there for ~140 games per year. JP's bat is really concerning to me. I normally hate bunting but in that last game, I was actually happy to see JP bunt because I honestly thought the likelyhood of him striking out against that sidearmer was gigantic.
I remember being once envious of Atlanta because they had two good, young and cheap middle infielders. Yunel Escobar and Kelly Johnson. They're not young anymore but I am thrilled that both are on the Jays right now.

I'm envious that they have Teheran, Beachy and Minor (even Delgado and Vizcaino). Now, let's see if this works...
Just when you think the Jays management is "getting it", they start Lind vs David Price. This is a case of going with short-term results over logic. How many more years until they realize that he should strictly be a platoon player?
EDIT: I guess it didn't help that Morrow was god-awful today too. I honestly think we can give up hoping he'll realize any potential that everyone (including myself) thought he had. He is what he is. A decent starting pitcher who gives up too many fly balls and is terrible pitching from the stretch.
Same one was called on Kelly Johnson. Both terrible.
I still hope that one day we'll have a pitchfx type system in every ballpark calling balls and strikes. One correct strike zone for every hitter. The umpires can keep their jobs by still manning the bases.

I missed almost the entire game, and just started watching when Vizquel came up. But I've read that umpire has been really terrible all night.
Also, going to my second game tomorrow. Got Drabek my first time around, tomorrow will be Alvarez. Really excited about it...
