Default The Official Peyton Manning Free For All Thread

Let's all be honest with ourselves here, Peyton Manning and the Colts will be divorced soon. The Colts have found themselves a new QB, and Manning will be cut (not traded) on March 8th.

No disrespect to the Colt fans but he's gone. 100%.

So let's start the speculation. Where do you think Peyton will wind up? Should wind up? Do you think he's healthy enough (it's beginning to seem so...)

I see....
-Arizona
-Miami
-NY Jets
-Washington

as the main suitors. I see Miami as the best fit, with Arizona a bit behind.

I predict he will retire...I don't think many teams are going to be willing to risk all that money and waste years on him.

If Skins can't land RG3 then maybe them...

I would rather have Flynn than Peyton at this point

Don't ever say you'll have a 7th round QB who has barely played over a potential GOAT QB..

It's Primetime, we ought to expect the most outlandish, misinformed opinions on the forum.

yeah sorry Carbine, I'm not the only one saying that...and as usual I am correct

Unlike you who thought teams were going to trade 3 firsts to the Colts for Peyton

Peyton is only good for teams that have a small window and need to win NOW

Flynn would be the obvious choice over Peyton for teams that are trying to build around a young player and create a franchise QB

I promise you teams like the Browns or Dolphins would rather have Flynn

Why would Flynn be an obvious choice for anything, he's had one good game in a career against a team whose defense runs hot and cold and had a bad game.

And you saying Manning will retire is all nice and good but goes against what hte current word seems to be.

And you are totally wrong about the Dolphins, is Manning will come to them they are taking Manning, not Flynn. 100%. Flynn is only on the board for him if Manning is not and a trade for RG3 doesn't make sense.

for the obvious reasons...

Flynn is very YOUNG

Peyton is very OLD

even "IF" (big IF) Peyton can play again how much longer does he have?...2 years maybe?...A team trying to rebuild would be waisting their time with Peyton...obviously they would rather have Flynn

a team that thinks they have a small window to win it all NOW would rather have Peyton...but I am not sure what team that is exactly.

Why wouldn't Peyton play until he's 40 or so? He can play four more years and just be turning 40 in the off-season. Never taken big hits. His NECK is 100 percent back to normal, as any other healthy person.

He loves football. He lives and breaths it. Doesn't rely on athleticism.

he could play till 40 but I think it is very unlikely...he can't even prove to play right NOW

that's like saying why couldn't he play till 50?...he loves football!

and obvioulsy athleticism is involved...not sure why you are saying it doesn't

There is no proof Flynn is that good of a QB, why would Miami want him 100%? It makes no sense.

there is no proof Peyton can play at all...

at least with Flynn they have a chance at creating a franchise QB

Teams won't just be signing Peyton blind taking his agent's word on his health. Teams'll be fully aware of how healthy he is.

from what I understand he can't throw across his body...

it is impossible to prove to other teams how much he has left though...teams have to assume that signing Peyton would be a short term deal.

with Flynn they sign in hopes of a long term franchise QB

He's making all the throws from what I know, and apparently his nerve is regenerating and once the nerve starts to regenerate it can only get stronger, not regress.

Yeah sign Flynn by giving him a Kolb like deal. Then watch him perform like...Kolb.

I'm going Peyton here. Football and business aspect of it all at that.
