This. At his peak he was only the 3rd best player on the Celtics. The guy somehow got incredibly overrated. Hopefully this situation brings him way back down to where he should be labeled and discussed. He is NOT an elite player.

rondo's impact has always been overrated. KG has always been the celtics most important/most impactful player and you can argue that pierce is the 2nd.

hes a stat-whore. he stole stats from pierce and kg and made them look like role players. same shit lebron does. except lebron won a championship stealing stats, so no problem in him doing that. now that rondo is out, the pierces and kgs can go back to getting the ball and able to create their own shots. rondo extremely overrated. great numbers, but doesnt really make the team that much better.

True. When KG is on the bench, Celtics are by far the worst team in NBA, worse than Bobcats (!), even with Rondo on the floor. With KG playing, Celtics are actually good Playoffs team with Top3 defense.
