Re: Is There Any PG In Nba History That Can Lockdown Magic?
For the time, Magic was as big as many POWER FORWARDS! He was 6'9 and 225-230 pounds. If u r taking guys who mainly played PG, you best matchups would Kidd, Frazier, or Payton. But even at that, those guys are giving five inches to Magic. If Penny would have stayed healthy and at point, that would have been the best bet probably. U have other guys who played PG for a season or more like Rose, Theus, and Steve Smith. Jalen Rose made a great point when talking about big PG's. He said u have guys who were 6'7 and up point forwards and could play PG, SG, and SF. But only himself, Magic, Penny, and Steve Smith played the position as THEIR main position for a year or more. And as we know, it was Magic's main position for most of his career. Even though Magic could play 1-4 and even played a lil five at times. Other guys 6'7 and up tend to settle in at other positions over time.
