Earthquakes 3-0 TFC

Terrible weather plus terrible defensive effort by TFC. Wondo netted two and seems like he may have another chance for MLS Golden Boot again.

Frings hurts, Cann hurts, Donell Henry is playing with Canada U23 team (and played very well also!). When TFC get their core back it should be fine.

Also, Winter needs to stop playing Dunfield and put De Guzman in instead. There is a reason why Whitecaps let him go for technically free.

Somewhat related:

Team USA U23 has been eliminated for the Olympics for the first time in years, giving away a tying goal in the absolutely last minute to El Salvador and ended in 3-3 tie. Sean Johnson

Team Canada also missed a on-the-paper easy chance to avoid Mexico in semi-final, tying 1-1 to Cuba. If you win the semi-final you are in. Well, it's Mexico.....

They are both royally screwed.

Sucks to be out of the Olympics but hopefully this will mean Brek can put in more time with FCD instead of national team duty. The Hoops are really hurting right now with injuries and national team commitments.

I was at the CCL Semi-final between TFC and Santos Laguna tonight. 1-1 is the final. TFC played much better than their last two MLS games, great defense against more skilled Santos but still couldn't finish.

And damn, Santos played like Mexican Barcelona. They used every single dirty soccer tricks in the bag! Flopping in every opportunities they got, tackling Ecks stud-first, and lastly a headbutt at the end of the game that led to a big scuffle!

American refs actually helped them though, waiving off Maund's push in the box and giving two reds at Santos players. Still, Koevermans also got booked and will be suspended next game in Mexico though.

At the end, anything better than a loss against Mexican teams can be considered a win at least to me.

Rooting for TFC, would love an MLS team to be in the final again.

Red Bulls thrash Montreal 5-2, could have been 7-2 easily..

Thiery Henry is just amazing.. Had a hatrix, 1 assist and one world class goal. He can easily play in the top leagues of the world
