Looks like Agudelo is traded to Chivas for Heath Pearce.

Is this real life?

FCD needs to get their shit together.

I don't care for driving from Dallas all the way to Frisco on the tollway to see them lose off ridiculous brain farts.

Just wait until the team fails to make any progress in MLS Cup Playoff and Henry bails out, and they will greatly miss Agudelo.

Anyway, consistent defenders are so valuable in this league. This might actually be a good move for the Cup.

I don't like the trade one bit but in hindsight it's actually a decent trade. Chivas is going to pay a portion of Pearce's 2012 salary(don't know how much), Red Bulls gets tons of allocation money(from what I've heard), and NY gets a percentage of Agudelo's future transfer fee. This move opens up room for the red bulls to go after an attacking midfielder in the summer and the GM said this as well. Expect a big name

Agudelo has his mind on in Europe and will go there as soon as his contract expires if not earlier. When Henry is healthy Agudelo is the third choice and he probably would have been a sub which is sad as he's extremely talented. Red Bulls will probably get another forward during the summer as they have to, maybe Luke Rodgers gets his visa in time? Agudelo is probably only going to be with Chivas for a year..

Pearce is going to help the defense but lately that hasn't been a concern for us. A bunch of the no name/young americans has stepped up big. Connor Lade, Tyler Ruthven and Brandon Barklage(beast) have been great. As long as Miller is out of the lineup we generally do good.

So in essence NY is going to get Heath Pearce and a DP CAM for Agudelo.

But I really liked Agudelo.. He's so much more talented than the average MLS forward. Such a great first touch, great dribbling, playmaker, etc. He's like the poor mans Neymar of the MLS..

As much as I dislike them, they should come to Tucson. FC Tucson is just crap, but Danny Toia is a legit talent, should get another MLS shot.

I just hate the fact they made these deals right before they face the Galaxy...without OGo and now Saunders, Aguedelo will probably score a hat-trick.

LA is sports crazy this week. The Kings with a shot to sweep the Coyotes, Clippers and Lakers in the post-season, Galaxy v Shitvas Classico. And I'm 500 miles away :sigh:

Oh, I didn't notice this at the first reads. Now this is an interesting part since the DP hunting season for the 2nd half of the season push is very soon.

Well, it should be an exciting match-up nonetheless. Hopefully Agudelo can help spark a rivalry between the teams(Lets face it, it;s very one sided atm..)

FC Tucson is a decent choice. NY played their this preseason and there were some good crowds there. USMNT needs to play games in candidate cities and see how marketable they are.

1) San Diego
2) NY 2, Queens?
3) St. Louis

Those would be my choices

Yea. Apparently we received tons of Allocation, an international slot(not sure), and a free years salary in Pearce. So the room for a DP is there and the team has stated they are going after a CAM. Remember they were looking hard after players like Stephen Ireland, Michael Ballack(NY rejected him) and I think Del Piero..

Yeah, the Desert Diamond Cup was pretty fun, it should be better next year too with FC Tucson getting its own field and not being on converted baseball fields. Tucson will not be getting a MLS team though, just wishful thinking, but the Catcus Pricks are doing a hell of a job promoting FC Tucson, our USL's lowest division squad. Danny Toia (Former RLS member) and Andrew Long are a nice duo for this level though and I think Toia can make it in the MLS in a few years.

Currently #3 out of 9 teams (3 are yet to play) with 3 points in 2 matches (2nd place has 5 points in 5 matches and first has 10 points in 4 matches). Got season tickets too

As far as new areas, I'd consider Phoenix, realistically, as well.

It was $60 for 10 games + two "special" games lol. Individual games are $12 a pop so half off. Obviously talent isn't great but being a big sports fan and FC Tucson being the only non-Collegiate team, why not.

Edit: Just read that Shitvas just gave up cash and an international slot but not Pearce. Great.
