Re: ESPN: Official Peyton Manning Will Not Return to Colts
According to the Denver Post, all three teams are willing to match the terms of Manning's previous contract with Indianapolis, a five-year deal worth $90 million. He was to receive $61.8 million through the first two years of that deal.

Re: ESPN: Official Peyton Manning Will Not Return to Colts
Was talking about this with some coworkers, and we couldn't figure it out...
If they are willing to pay more than the Colts contract...then WHY didn't any of those teams contact the Colts with trade offers before he was released?
That way they only had to pay what he was owed...not more, and Colts get a late pick or something?
Re: ESPN: Official Peyton Manning Will Not Return to Colts
We already know why they didn't trade him.
Peter King of Sports Illustrated reported during Football Night in America that Manning’s $28 million option bonus is due before the start of the 2012 league year. Since no trades can happen until after the 2012 league year begins, the Colts won’t be able to trade Manning before the $28 million comes due.
So therefor, the Colts would've had to paid the 28 million and THEN trade him. **** that.

That makes sense. To primetime it doesnt.
Anyway, we all know he's going to Miami because Brandon Marshall was traded to the Bears. Aint that right primetime?
Wait, we all know Manning isnt healthy and has a noodle arm. He's done. Even Manning knows that. Aint that right primetime?
