I agree it's harsh. And I agree about the Belicheck thing. But I have no pity b/c if this happened to the Bucs, people would be hounding me. Heck, when the Bucs were fined last year for Raheem talking to players during the lockout, people were LOLing at the Bucs on here.
I do feel bad though. That's a STEEP penalty.
But when you think about it, the NFL flat out told them to quit, and they kept on doing it. THAT'S why I think it was such a steep penalty.

Yep. That's why I think it was a full season instead of half of a season. he was told to quit it but they kept on doing it.
