They're not really contested shots though. Landry took and made one today that was wide open. Lin's are usually wide open. Novak doesn't really force up bad ones. Even Melo doesn't seem like he's taking too many.

The ones that really bother me are the transition ones, where no one else touches the ball. Chauncey used to do that 3 or 4 times a game.

That's because they are copping out.

It's predicated on ball movement and an OPEN shot.

Doesn't have to be a three.

I'm not down for trading anyone yet. Fire the coach, see progress, if not trade.

That would be a great idea!

Amendment to that: do it against an elite team, on the road.

I would love to see Melo and Amare sit tonight vs the Bulls.

He's also 1 and 1 against Deron Williams. Look, the kid is basically 15 games into his career. He's got some holes, but what he's accomplished has been impressive. Like it or not, he's responsible for the most exciting and respectable Knicks team since the Melo trade.

They're both better than the Knicks. The last three Champions, in fact.

Doesn't change the fact that I said I want to see Melo and Amare benched against elite teams on the road.
