Default Webber to Pistons?

On Cold Pizza, they said that once Chris Webber clear waivers, he's going to sign with his hometown Pistons. Do you think that Webber can give the Piston's enough offense to carry them into the Finals again?

the need for true centers is diminishing quickly thru out the league its just a trend, but after they do sign c-webb they either need to to trade mcdyess or mohammed along with dale davis for a backup point guard right now chauncey is hurt and flip murray is starting at the point. why not give will blalock a chance and if not trade for a backup point guard

I think Webber would fit right in. He's 6"10" which is taller than Ben was. So I really don't see the need for a true center. Look how our true center Nazr has done thus far. Trade him and get someone who actually makes a difference.

^ But Ben had a presence. Webber doesn't.
Webber would fit well with the Pistons. The Pistons need a bit scoring and depth anyways. I hope they trade Mcdyyes. Davis and Mohammed are better centers.

EDIT: With the signing of Webber, Mcdyyes can be expandable. I heard the Raptors are willing to give up Mo Pete if we give Mcdyyes. I see a bright future for our team.

Webber will make you guys better and i think that they are going to deal a big(davis, mcdyyes, or Mohammed) for Jaric from T'wolves... but i like mo' pete

actaully nazr has been as effective as almost any center outside of the top 5 in his limtied mins. better production than dampier in less mins and hes always getting hyped.

I dont understand why we need to give up davis and nazr. then we dont have any centers on the roster at all? Give up nazr and murray or some combo.

Do we really think Marco Jaric is our backup pg answer? Id almost rather have Delf run the offense.

I don't think Jaric and his contract are the answer but I do like the idea of getting Mo Pete or Bonzi Wells in here (more Mo Pete than Bonzi though). Too bad Rose went to the Suns instead of the Pistons when he was bought out otherwise we could start building a roster of former Michigan/Michigan State guys . Is Mateen Cleaves available still

webber played good yesterday
16 points(8-12), 7 rebounds, 4 assists in 38 minutes
i mean he diddnt put up superstar numbers, he put up good role player numbers.. i mean Sheed put up 18 and 9 in 44 minutes

i like C-webb and i just dont like when ppl put him down and say he cant do something like tom tolbert yesterday. Man that guy is a hater... he always puts ppl down.

I liked C-webs game for the most part yesterday. The guy did average 20 and 10 with Philly last year. It may not be the same 20 and 10 when he was with Sacramento but nonetheless still good numbers. For what Detroit is paying him this year if he averaged 16 and 7 it would be the steal of the year.
