I'm also glad this team won, a team full of freshman, who showed their maturity. It annoys me when people hate on Cal because he recruits one and done guys, he just takes advantage of a flawed system and is honest with his players and tell them to go Pro because they obviously can.

I'm intrigued to see if other coaches are going to start to adopt the one and done strategy. Not as thoroughly as Cal, but see Williams, or Self get one top ten recruit or so that's expected to jump. Now that the strategy's worked once, I think it'll be interesting to see how much or if it changes the recruiting dynamic.

I honestly don't think there are many fanbases that would support it.

KU had a slow start like usual, but this time the opponent is Kentucky, not Ohio State. Bill Self is facing a better coach Cal, not a worse coach Matta.
Bill Self's Kansas players are facing better players.

You're an idiot.
This is the truth.
Self is not a better or worse coach. Kentucky was the better team, period. They have looked the better team all tournament. They deserved this.
On a different topic, someone has already said this, but many of the top programs recruit major talent. It's not like they don't recruit one-and-done talent, they do. Cal gets more of the one-and-doners because he has shown great success with getting one-and-dones ready for the NBA. In fact, Ohio St. was on the short list of schools for Teague and Davis, but they chose to go to Kentucky. I'm sure Thad would have loved to have both those players at Ohio St. this year.

Absolutely. Any of the schools that are perennial players for national title consideration would take any of those kids that chose their school and qualified. Period. It's ridiculous to think otherwise.
Other coaches don't want the roster turnover every 8 months, and that's fine. Everybody has to run their own program. Cal has decided he'll manage it as best he can and try to win with the best players available and let next year take care of itself. You've got to have a tremendous amount of confidence in your staff and your ability to recruit AND coach young, often spoiled, talent.
