Not a bad deal. Probably more likely a two year deal.
Yeah, that's what I'm assuming. Be surprised if he actually plays out that deal in Indy. With Garcon walking just had to give Luck at least one proven option and with so many other holes to fill it's not as easy as just automatically taking best WR available in one of the earlier rounds.
josh morgan to skins. stats don't look that great. any niner fan wanna tell me about him
When he was healthy last year he was the niners best WR. He had some great chemistry with Alex Smith and was playing extremely well before he broke his leg. If he's 100% you got yourselves a good player. His best position in the slot
Ok its only the first day of FA but the Bears have already made two very important acquisitions. A good backup QB and a top flight #1 WR. Can't wait for September already. Hope we open up against the Pack. MNF maybe so we can pop em in the mouth.

Fix that O-line first.. Also, that defense isn't getting any younger
But I really like Cutler, he should be dangerous with Marshall..

Saints Pro Bowl G Carl Nicks is in Tampa. He arrived here late Tuesday night, according to his agent. A deal with the Bucs may be forthcoming in the next 24 hours.
They haven't even met with Nicks yet. He just arrived in Tampa an hour or so ago and they won't meet until in the morning.
Quote:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t waste much time celebrating their acquisition of prized wide receiver Vincent Jackson on Tuesday night.
They didn’t have time because they had to get to the airport to pick up New Orleans guard Carl Nicks. The Bucs are expected to go hard after Nicks, who did receive an offer from the Saints that he termed “respectable’’. But the fact that Nicks was willing to fly to Tampa late Tuesday night for a Wednesday visit at One Buccaneer Place is a pretty strong indication that Tampa Bay has given signs it may be willing to make Nicks the league’s highest-paid guard.
The Bucs still have plenty of cap room and the fact that Jackson jumped to Tampa Bay so quickly could be a sign that it’s about to become a destination spot for free agents. The fact Florida doesn’t have a state income tax is also a selling point, but giving free agents the impression that new coach Greg Schiano is on the verge of turning the franchise around makes the Bucs even more attractive.
Landing Nicks after Jackson would be a huge coup for the Buccaneers. Jackson was viewed by almost everyone as the top receiver in free agency. Nicks is viewed by many as the premier guard in the league.
Jackson is 29 and Nicks is 26, so it’s pretty obvious the Bucs are targeting free agents that are still in their prime. That wasn’t always the path taken back when the Bucs last were a strong player in free agency. Former coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen often signed players in their 30s and the results were mixed.
That’s one reason the franchise adopted a policy of building through the draft under current general manager Mark Dominik. That philosophy is still in place. But, after sitting still in free agency last year and going 4-12, the Bucs realized they need to supplement what they build through the draft with some free agents.
This could just be a tool for Nicks to use against the Saints hoping that NO would raise their price. That happened frequently last offseason in free agency. The Bucs were linked to a lot of free agents and brought some players in for visits, but it was just to raise the player's price tag for other teams.
I'm surprised but like seeing TB finally active during free agency.
Landing VJax is solid after the disappointing year by Mike W. What's gonna happen to him now though?? Will he be the slot and they bump Benn to the no. 2 guy?
Of course these moves though have to be dependant on Freeman's development. He dipped last season but they're giving him pieces to use and be protected by.
And I still don't see why people have Richardson going there at 5. Blount is a goos back. Powerful yet elusive. They should go after a guy similar to Sproles (who they missed out on last year) in style. 5th pick should be used on Clairborne if hes there.
