It's people being stupid thinking ISO automatically = killing ball movement. Melo doesn't kill ball movement, or he never use too. He'd willingly pass out of the double teams, quite well actually.
Doesn't mean he's not very good at ISOing and doesn't do it alot. Just didn't work with Mike D.
Regardless of systems, players etc. gotta think a new coach is going to help either since by the sounds of it everybody was tuning him out

we just played random ball after the trade last season. basically billups would bring the ball up and pass to melo on his right just like he did for 2 years in denver. this year was different. this year we tried to first make melo a point forward which didn't work because he doesn't have the ball handling skills of a point guard where he can just keep doing pick and rolls after pick and rolls, so the possessions would degenerate into melo isos. then lin came along and they tried to stick him on the wing as a three point spacer which is marginalizing him.

Coach D'Antoni @Coach_D_Antoni
I love the All-Star Game because you see players do things you didn't think we're possible...like Carmelo playing less defense.

One thing is passing when being double teamed, other is running the offense, D'Antoni didn't get that.
Again everyone says Melo Kills Ball movement, you have a coach that April 2011, says Melo should have the ball more, same coach 2012 makes Melo the PG of the team, and it's all Melo fault.
People are talking how last game when Fields was unable to feed Melo on the post, it was because he wasn't supposed to be there!! You got a player like Melo, in a mismatch with a a guy half his size, and the ball doesn't go to him because he wasn't supposed to be there? L O L
Are people really blaming Melo for posting 1 time during the whole game? Pretty sure we are talking about the same people that bashed D'Antoni left and right because Gallinari spent 90% of his time behind the 3 point line and did nothing else.
