People don't realize we basically got another Jr Smith which is what the team wanted. Difference is... while a stupid on the court player at times.. Young is a good locker room guy. So he's actually better for the Clippers than Smith would have been.

Clippers are going to be like 8-9 mill under cap just by amnesty Gomes, letting Foye walk.

I wasn't contending they can get Young, just that they are much better cap wise than they were yesterday, and got ride of Kapono and Luke's contracts.

Considering those two contribute -5% to the Lakers, they did good.

Oh I misunderstood. I agree Lakers have improved flexibility and youth obviously. Good day for both LA teams! Both teams addressed their biggest weakness while giving up nothing .

Solid trade for the Nuggets, I don't get the hate?

Nene's contract is awful and he's not that much of a difference maker. Giving him away for nothing would have been a solid deal, now they even get a little something something in the deal.

And he doesn't have to write directions down on the party invitations anymore since McGee and Young aren't on the team!

Because they JUST signed him to that deal. It shows next to no foresight.

Allen would have left this year, just like Young. Allen is just a better shooter than Nick. Both are free agents this year... and the price we would have had to pay for Allen would not have been worth it.

I don't mind trading away Nene as he hasn't looked that good this season, but **** Javale Mcgee. Karl is a ****ing moron for bringing him in.

Yup. More talent.... but that doesn't translate on the court. Both are similar players. Volume scorers who can get hot, sub par defenders and considered black holes at times or chuckers. Difference is... Young is a good teammate, Jr is considered a cancer.

Still would have preferred tpe for Raja Bell or Gomes+Foye+Cook+Leslie for the Richardson's in Orlando. Or TPE + First for Sure Shot Steve

When did Nick Young become a good teammate? He plays selfish me-first ball. At least JR has the skill set to fit in to a structured system. Plus, JR has one of the purest jump shots in the league.

I am just happy for John Wall that they got rid of those bums.

One plus for the Clippers: Nick Young is an 86% free throw shooter. Definite improvement for one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the league.
