2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Nene to Wizards, J.McGee to Nuggets, Nick Young to Clippers

Makes sense for Washington and certainly for the Clippers, but I don't see really why Denver did this. Nene is a bit overrated, but they really couldn't have gotten something back better than McGee?

foye was way too inconsistent and useless when he wasn't scoring so this is a good trade for LA. next time young decides to shoot a fadeaway 3, cp3 will scold him. he'll learn to play better next to him and cp3 will keep him in check. LA doesn't need him to be the next b-roy. he just needs to hit his open shots and play solid on ball D

I thought Young would be worth more than Cook and a 2nd rounder. That's a steal for the Clippers, even if it doesn't work out they haven't really given up anything of value.

Good for the Wizards to get a solid guy in Nene, he should fit in well at C next to Booker or Blatche if they keep him.

Not sure about it for the Nuggets, but Nene makes a lot of money, just as long as they don't then go out and give similar money to McGee then it should be OK. Plus, I guess it frees up some $ to sign Chandler to a long term deal, which would be good for them. Gives them a young core of Gallo, Lawson, Chandler, McGee and Afflalo

If young gets good looks he is going to make them. He isn't going to miss good looks for long. Whenever he has gone into a slump for a few games we end up finding out he was playing hurt.

I am definitely not going to miss McGee's frequent WTF plays or his constant defensive confusion.

Yeah I don't see how Clippers really lose out on here. It makes sense for Denver saving on Nene's contract, Mcgee is an idiot, but he also played on young team full of idiots. I think a change in scenery might straighten him out. This makes less sense for the Wizards as Nene is owed 13 millie a year for the next 4 and he's not a difference maker.

Wizards made out like bandits. Not sure how Clips get away with the trash they gave out for Nick Young, but Nene is a huge upgrade over McGee. And for all you Blatche haters, he only gets like 15-20 mins a game. Nobody likes him and he gets booed like crazy, he is on his way out of here....
