Favors had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists on 5-10 from the field tonight.
Kanter had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist on 6-7 tonight.
Burks had 17 points and 3 rebounds on 7-10 tonight.
And yet not one of them could legally celebrate this win tonight by having an alcoholic beverage.
The future is so bright in SLC, it's ridiculous. I wish we had traded Deron Williams earlier.
Well considering the only thing holding the team back right now is lack of a pg and there are very few who could run the offense as well as Deron not sure I agree.
Kanter still kind of looks like a reach to me. Looks great as a defender and rebounder, but I don't think he'll end up very special on offense.
Burks however.... He'll be an all star if everything goes right.
Their main core of youngsters is scary looking. All have raw potential still and already showing glimpses. Grab a point guard in this years draft and they'll be set for years to come. Maybe a Marquis Teague type player if he drops that low.
G -
G - Alec Burks
F - Gordon Hayward
F - Derrick Favors
C - Enes Kanter

With the core the Jazz have right now, it's probably better if Kanter develops into more of an Al Horford than Al Jefferson. There may not be too many shots for him as things stand.
I wish The Jazz will draft 20 yrs.old Kendall Marshall in the 2012 NBA Draft. He's the perfect starting PG for the Jazz. Marshall injured his wrists. Damian Lillard is also a solid prospect.

Now Burks has to start. Maybe he'll bring the best out of Harris. Harris is a combo anyway. He needs another ball-handler...tho Utah probably wants a true PG.

Weak draft for pg's. Can Teague run the pick and roll? Maybe Lin? He doesn't fit in iso Carmelo or the Triangle.
The Jazz sent Williams for Favors, Harris, and the Nets pick. The Nets pick turned out to be third overall, and that's Kanter. The Jazz were 31-26 at the time of the trade and poised for a pick that would've been around 20. The Jazz collapsed after the trade and ended up getting the 12th pick, which turned out to be Burks.
Of course, Dwight Howard then opted-in, and Deron Williams is probably going to be a Maverick 6 months from now.
Their front court is amazing. They need a good young pg and they are set for the future. Kanter looked great with his post moves tonight. Millsap is the most underrated player in the league.
Agreed. Plus I bet the Jazz only end up with one draft pick this year (their own) while the Warriors successfully tank.
They might end up with none if they make the playoffs. Maybe why Harris continues to play? Keep them out?

I think Burks should start. Bring the vet Bell off the bench instead of all the kids together. Harris needs to be benched. He had another ball handler in Hayward and it didn't help him. Bell can handle it too. I think they could make it work without a true pg now that Jerry's gone. Hayward and Burks can both facilitate the offense and Burks looks like he could be a superstar who needs the ball in his hands.
