His 1950s dribble prevents him from being a primary ball handler when Lin is getting pressured and needs help. It's not like Lin has a great dribble either. They are probably the worst dribbling back court in the entire NBA.

Carmelo should get the ball more, but not to bring it up court. He needs the ball down low in the post, not at 3/4 court. Makes it harder for him to get position down low, when he does that.

Shumpert is a much better dribbler than Fields, which is why both MDA and Woody have used him in back up PG roles all year.

And don't even bring up defense between the 2 of them. Shumpert wins that contest by a lot.

I'm concerned with Melo's offensive game.
He has been shooting poorly and he can't even make layups anymore,he gets blocked way too often.
Hopefully that will change soon.

Also I'm concerned with our free throw shooting. I don't know what happened to this team but it seems like we have like 10 Dwight Howards on this team (everyone except Novak and Lin).

Why did Landry even decide to change his shot ? He was a very solid 3-pt shooter last year, right now he could lose a 3-pt shootout against Shaq.

I would agree with this.

Trade him for D-Will. Solves our dribling problems.

Which he has failed miserably at. You yourself have admitted as much.

They're both good defenders. Shumpert is better, while being a problem on the other end of the court - for his own team. I could just as easily say, "Don't even bring up the offense between the 2 of them, Fields wins that contest by a lot".

Trade Melo for D-Will? If we went with that hair brained plan, we would have 5 point guards on the team this year.

Has any other team had that players at 1 single position?

Oh and we wouldn't have a natural small forward, unless Laundry moved there.

Shumpert is your cousin and you caught Fields in bed with your mom. It's the only explanation for your wanting to make the team worse.

I have a feeling like the Knicks will never get above .500

Is it just me ?

We had multiple opportunities to go above .500 and we blew them.
Tonight was one of them. We had an opportunity to get to .500 and then above it with the win against the Pistons tomorrow.
Now we're back to 2 games under .500 and only a half game advantage over the Bucks for that 8th seed.

Nice job to blow up all the good things.

Our outside shooting is pathetic. Laundry Fields can't be in the starting line up anymore. He's not a threat to score at all.

Who would be a threat to score though?

JR is too streaky and prefers the green light off the bench.

Shumpert can't shoot outside of 15 feet, breaks plays, and can't drive through traffic in the lane without a turnover or an offensive foul.

I know everyone harps on Fields, but he makes plays when he starts, rebounds, and moves well without the ball.

My only knock on him is he finishes around the rim way too soft with contact.

The starting lineup isn't broken.

Fields should start but play only the 1st half in which he often plays well.
He always disappears in the second half and when I say disappears then I really mean disappears. You can't see him on the court,he's doing nothing.

Please start the 2nd half with Shumpert and see how it goes. We always killed in the 3rd quarter and playing 4 on 5 (because Fields doesn't show up) might be one of the problems.

I attribute the Raptors game to us running out of gas. Furthermore, I think our shooting is off becuz our practices are probably 80% defense oriented. We may benefit by making some of our practices shoot arounds
