vc's personality, or character, is what prevents him from being on the other guys' level. when you put two dogs in a room there's always a dominant one in the room--it's the same way with nba players; and it's not about being loud or barking, it's just one dog is badder than the other. when kobe plays against dirk, you know who the dominant player is, same when wade played against dirk--well vc is the most submissive of all the talented swing players in the league.
And as Mavs choking a 2-0 lead in the finals and getting back door swept was a huge accomplishment from a team like that with that much firepower. Dirk shot like **** all series long but gets a freepass from everyone, including the media for no reason. There's two type of critics, you know them already, don't you?
Constructive and...?
The Lakers were to some surprisingly in the playoffs and not too many predicted them to even win a game, let alone three vs. a high powered western conference finalist Phoenix. My Lakers can only improve, they're a young team.
I don't know how much you could realisticly expect from a team like the Lakers right now, I'm very satisfied they got this far. But still, even as a hater you could see them going to the second round.. lo siento pero I'm just not following you.
And I call being a big part of 3 championships success.
That's what Vince does not have. You could say "oh but he doesnt have a good team.", yeah that's right, maybe there's a reason for that? Same thing with Kobe actually, but he's accomplished alot already and there's no way for a hater to take anything away from him. "Yeah but he had great teammates".. yeah, basketball is a team sport, isn't it? Kobe had and has great teammates for a reason.
Wade got Shaq for a reason and Shaq for his supporting cast, again for a reason.
Get over yesterday, atleast try.
Well, the best part of an artichoke is the heart in the middle. You work your way to get to the best part when eating an artichoke.
You got close to a thousand posts on this site. Maybe you should slow your roll and try some other things in life out besides posting?
yeah thanks for the advice.
i have been working a lot lately for this massive power point project. i work as a college intern at a law firm, and as always the intern gets shiiit on.
essentially, my current project entails scanning 20,000 pages of vital information into a computer then converting them to powerpoint and then waiting for my boss to sift through them to find what he wants for court... then I have to take notes on how to present. and the court date is in 3 weeks. so I work overtime... good pay... boring work.
and essentially while the documents mass scan, I have plenty of time to... surf the web and post on ISH.
anyway, yeah Vince lacks the killer instinct to win at the highest levle, but you cannot deny he is an entertaning player when he tries.
I think it's lack of focus or motivation. When VC has a tough night, he kinda disappears. When he's on, he is unguardable.
I never thought VC was a soft player at all. Just got injury prone for some years. all those dunks over Mourning, Mutombo, and Ratliff, please, a soft player couldn't do some of the crazy plays Vince does.
VC has the heart to play, just lacks the intensity and motivation. T-Mac is similar, but he is more cocky.
