Dumb thread. This draft class isn't the best ever but it's pretty deep.

yeah, 2009 is a good example of a weak draft class...I think this draft is much closer to that than 2010

Of course you can say that when those players have experience under their belt and you're comparing them to players who haven't even been drafted yet.

I'm not comparing them as players...I'm comparing them as PROSPECTS

half the DTs going in this first round would NOT be first rounders in that draft...

HELL, maybe all but like 2-3 of them would be 2nd round

How many Alabama games have you watched? Trent Richardson is going to do very well in the NFL. He is a horse. I'd compare him to Turner the Burner, except he has a better burst and can make defenders miss. He doesn't have elite break away speed, but he is a horse and a durable one. Definitely would be a worthy first round pick in any draft.

Agreed, and I am very familiar with Trent.

He wouldn't be top5 in many drafts but this one...he is lucky its a weak class...he might get selected before AD did for that reason.

AD's draft class also had one of the worst qb classes in NFL history though. I think Trent would have gone ahead of Lynch. Luck and RG3 would have gone 1 and 2 in that draft class or at worst top 4. Kalil would be top 4-5. I think even Tannehill would have battled for a high first round pick as well given how awful that qb class was. Blackmon and Floyd would have been the 2nd and 3rd wr's picked in that draft.

You never know who's going to thrive in the NFL. There might not be as many "prospects" as other drafts, but UDFA's have become first ballot HOF's.

Tom Brady wasn't a first round talent. Look at him now.

Let's see. Sam Bradford hasn't played great recently, very subpar. He won't lead the Rams to the playoffs like that. Suh and Roy Williams have serious issues. Tim Tebow just got traded and is going to be warming the bench for a while.

Quite a few of these guys have serious injury issues, or have performed subpar. A lot of them have failed to make a significant impact and many others have not lived up to their pre-draft status.

Default Re: this is one of the weakest draft classes ever

We have 2 of the best QB prospects in this draft class.. that AUTOMATICALLY takes out the "weak part".

We gonna ignore the fact that this is probably the deepest wide receiver class in the past two decades?

The running back class isn't that deep but Richardson is gonna be a GREAT running back maybe not AP-like but he'll definitely be in the discussions of best running back in the league. What he lacks in speed he evens it out with his vision and power.

Morris Claiborne ran a 4.39 and 4.44 in his pro day and Patrick Peterson? Please. Peterson was hyped because of his athleticism NOT his coverage ability which Claiborne DOMINATES him in. Claiborne is 5'11 and 185 but has GREAT ball skills and is gonna be a shutdown corner where as Peterson will be a better punt returner than corner. Claiborne>Peterson in terms of what a corner is mainly asked to do which is COVER.

It has a franchise elite LT prospect and ridiculous athleticism at DT headlined by Dontari Poe. Please take your head out of your ass and actually type with some knowledge.

I think they're above average than recent QB draft classes... You're just being too picky or something.
