Gerald McCoy when healthy didnt impact the TB Bucs. He's been a huge disappointment and not for the fact he is injury prone either. When healthy he was not nothing how the scouts claimed this "elite prospect" would be/do. Suh showed and proved. McCoy didnt.
Luck, Griffin, Moore, Lindley, Wilson, Cousins, Weeden, Tannehill, Keenum.... that's all of the top of my head. No way I could name that many in the few years past.
I think they're above average than recent QB draft classes... You're just being too picky or something.
other than Luck and RG3 those QBs suck as prospects...Tannehill will get taken higher than he should just because he is a QB
Anyway I disagree that RG3, Luck and Kalil are the only elite prospects
Claiborne-Elite CB, sure he doesn't have the measurables that Peterson had & isn't a PR guy but he is arguably a better pure corner.
Blackmon-Elite WR...the size argument is stupid..u don't need to be 6'4" 230 to be an elite WR. Look at Roddy White and Steve Smith as examples.
I do think there is a bit of a drop off around the 10-20 pick range but there's some serious depth into the later rounds
Not the best draft but hardly the worst either..
they aren't elite prospects...Patrick Peterson would get drafted way before Claiborne
I think Prince Amukamura would get drafted ahead of Claiborne as well...he has better size and the same things were being said about his coverage skills
Blackmon, the best WR this draft has to offer is not the big OR fast...he is like Crabtree...I am not even sure he would be drafted ahead of Crabtree if he were in this draft either...
they ARE both first round talent, but not normal top-5 talent
You're repeating the same exact thing you said last draft word for word. Then you're claiming you are right given the fact you say "still too early". Contradiction much? But hey trivia question. Which draft is the weakest 2011 or 2012?
primetime"I'm stumped. See me in 2013 when I claim that is the weakest draft in the history of the NFL draft. There are no Suh's or McCoy dispite the fact McCoy has been a disappointment."
Take off the pewter glasses. And by all means feed me the "McCoy does stuff that dont show up on the statsheet" line. Is he talented? Sure, no one is arguing that. But dont dare tell me he hasnt been disappointing since he has been drafted. And dont DARE play up the moments he looked like a stud to ignore the fact overall his rookie campaign was weaksauce. For a guy who was billed to be this instant impact DT that some (like primetime) said was better than Suh. If anything deserves a its McCoy start to his pro career. Why deny that? Of couyrse as a Bucs fan since you're overly optimistic about his potential you'll look to defend him as if its being implied he's a career backup. So dont dare argue his talent. Argue what he has shown thus far given the expectations. Period.
