I wouldn't complain about that. I would just find a new team to root for.

The trade was a win win deal for all involved. The dodgers gave an insane lineup now, even without Crawford in the mix. Hopefully the change of scenery revitalizes Beckett to be a good #3/4 pitcher here in LA.

Dodgers are about to sign the richest TV deal in the history of MLB baseball as well so money will be fine. LA also makes more on ticket sales and concessions than Boston. This numbers would be more apparent in the playoffs when every ticket costs more and the games are all sold out.

37,000 cap - Fenway
56,000 cap - Dodger Stadium

RH Kemp to LH Gonzalez to RH Ramirez to LH Ethier. Nasty.

And a little overshadowed right now: Ethier is 10-10 in his last 10 at bats!

This is the Dodgers' chance to catch the Giants for the NL West. Even if San Fran is winning for now, losing Melky long term hurts a lot. Giants should be scared, very scared.

I wouldn't mind it if the Red Sox tried a Ellsbury/Doubront/Ciriaco/prospects for Felix Hernandez trade. Would finally have a legit ace for the first time since Pedro Martinez.

And Adrian Gonzalez just looks better in a Dodgers uniform. Just looks like he belongs. Hopefully Beckett's plane crashed on the way to LA.

Went to the Braves/Giants game yesterday and it was all the people around us were talking about. There was one Dodger fan that showed up I think just for the sake of giving Giants fans shit

The Giants still have by far the better pitching though and still have enough hitters to give them better support than they did in the past.

On a sidenote, the Marlins better sign Stanton to an extension over the summer. I'm scared of the Dodgers having money and him being from the LA area. Don't take any chances!

The Orioles have acquired Joe Saunders from the D-Backs for Matt Lindstrom and a PTBNL.

MLB.TV is only 10 dollars for the rest of the year. Great deal.

Tell me you're not talking about the greatest announcer in the history of sports: Vin Scully

vin scully agrees to come back for a 64th season. is it weird that i'm happier about this than i am for the gonzalez trade? vin's the voice of my childhood, i can't imagine the dodgers without him

Votto expected back this week in the lineup for the start of Houston. It's amazing he's not been in the lineup when the Reds went on their tear to pull away a little bit in the Central. Ludwick, Bruce and Frazier all stepped up in his absence.

Quote:
Votto (knee) will start a rehab assignment this week at Low-A Dayton, the Reds' official site reports. If there are no setbacks, he'll be back next weekend in Houston. (about 3 hours ago)
