It's probably too little too late, but a sweep of the Nationals in September is encouraging. Still 5.5 games back with 15 to play so it'll take a miracle to catch them, but still. We're 8 games up in the WC standings so it'd take an even more embarrassingly epic collapse than last year to miss the playoffs. Our playoff chances are currently at 99.9 so I think we're good. After last year, though, I'm going to remain skeptical until game 162 is in the books and we're at least tied with the other WC team.
