ESPN's Rob Parker, most frequently seen on ESPNs 1st and 10, trolled all fans of sabermetrics on Twitter today. Told them to put the calculators down, watch a damn game, and pretty much said they're terrible with women. Called out Keith Law during the process. I don't think I've seen a sports writer embarrass themselves like this before.

In the midst of him hating on people watching sports with calculators handy configuring stats and whatnot, its also been brought to light that he also comes on ESPNs "Numbers Never Lie."

We both finish on the road. Hopefully the ChiSox can get their bats back in time

Obviously the series against TB is huge so we got to put up a competitive fight to have a chance that last series. I'd rather be playing Cleveland anyways cuz we suck against KC for some reason.

And what's funny is you guys did well against the AL East and we did well against the AL West. Just the crappy teams in our division know us.

I saw that and assumed he was simply "trolling" and not actually being serious because of how ridiculous his argument was.

I wouldn't put it past him if he was serious. The man debates Skip Bayless for a living.

Also, hearing Larry Bowa and Mitch Williams talk about the MVP race makes my head want to explode.

I fully expect NL voters to be so confused this year that they'll just give both the Cy Young and MVP to Kimbrel, shaming both awards simultaneously.

I have a feeling this is going to be a shootout in Texas. A's with 4 in the top of the 1st already.

Hamilton is responsible for about 3 of the runs. Misplayed a grounder in the outfield and took a bad route on a fly ball letting it drop. 5-0.

Jarod Parker who has been the A's best pitcher in Sept was a bit shaky through the first 2, already over 60 pitches but hopefully he settles down.

As a Sox fan, who even thought we'd be in this position? A bunch of rookies including the manager plus lots of injuries. OTOH, the Tigers are overweight, overpaid, overrated and can't catch a ball to save their lives.

Whoever comes out of the AL Central will quickly go on vacation a week later...

Watching a lead evaporate in a few days at the end of a season is a choke/collapse.

And you're probably right because since, what, 2005? The AL central playoff rep has been bumped in the first round every time.

A's throw another rookie pitcher out tomorrow. A win will bring them within 2 games of the West while keeping the Angels at bay. A loss will put them right where they started going into this series but a full game back of the O's with the potential of a red hot LAA team making up ground.

The AL race has 4 teams within 3 games of the best record in the AL but it is a shame that one of those teams wont get to play post season baseball.

I'm hoping for ties in all the AL division races and the wild card spots. I want total scheduling chaos!

You know the MLB doesn't have a plan if that happens. They rushed this extra wild card spot quickly so it would be hilarious if this happens.

That Dirks slide last night is such bullshit. Fuck, I hate baseball because of that sometimes.

With news that one of the best defensive shortstops of all time, Jack Wilson is retiring, I thought you all might want to watch 13 minutes of his defensive magic throughout his career

Dude, you disappoint me, after the ChiSox won it all in 05, your Tigers got to the WS in 06, the Indians were one game short of the WS in 07 and last year the Tigers got to the ALCS

It's been the Twins who always get bounced in the first round.
