A's had a great season but the Tigers were a bad match up plus they were a team that came in hot after they came back and won the Central. I'm excited for the A's going forward because they have their young stars locked in for a few years, it will be interesting to see what they can bring in. I would really like and upgrade at 2nd base and maybe one big bat behind Cespedes.
If they can retain this core group for about 3 years we'll start to see an influx of good good players. Unfortunately it seems that Grant Green is not going to be an infielder. I actually enjoy Pennington at 2nd defensively, just not his bat. It'd be cool if Weeks could figure everything out.
There is a log jam at OF. So I'm curious to see what's going to happen to these players. Green, Taylor, Choice, etc. But Choice should bring more power when he gets up, he needs to not K as much though. That's our problem. Chris Carter finally found a swing, he's got massive power. Basically player development is going to be the big thing. Because for 1-2 seasons they could field a potentially SICK lineup.
