True. I didn't notice that. Toronto>>Baltimore though And they're not playing 10 straight road games with 8 straight day games, are they?
Day games suck. Thankfully today was the last one for a few days.
And I'm pretty sure the Red Sox have had a pretty similar schedule as well.
@ DET 3x
@ TOR 3x
vs TB 4x
vs TEX 2x
vs NYY 3x
I have no idea how many of those were/are day games but, even though the Rays may have the toughest schedule so far, there's a few other teams that are right there with them.
The rangers are just insanely good. Probably the best pitching staff in the al if not baseball(the angels and rays can argue better rotations though it's far from a given, but the rangers also have a great bullpen) best defensive if in baseball, the ability to play a great defensive of in the late innings when they put gentry in cf and one of the best offenses in baseball. And they can run
JJ looked great today, his fastball stood around 93-94, went 100+ pitches and gave up only two runs. Unfortunately the last run came in probably his last inning and tied the game.

We get to face another ace tonight too. McGehee looks decent, McCutchen is hitting well, and Walker is starting to come alive but we just can't score. Hopefully we can turn it around once we get to an easier stretch of schedule.
Stanton moved down to 6th in the order tonight, looked alright so far. Worked the count well on a couple at-bats which lead to a walk and a double. Still swings pretty badly at breaking pitches though.
Pedro Alvarez is just horrendous. His approach is awful and he just cannot hit major league pitching. Maybe he'll pick it up, but it's starting to look like he's just not cut out to hit at the major league level.
I know he's young, but if he doesn't make serious adjustment's, he's doomed.
We are probably going to lose this game but it's good to see Neil Walker playing well. If we can get our two leadoff hitters going, then we might actually have a shot at scoring some runs with how McCutchen and Walker have been producing.
